Winter is is traditionally a slow time for new homes, but not at McLean.
Maybe it’s the recent warm weather, which helped our builders make good headway. And maybe it is our region’s vitality, which lures nearly 50 newcomers a day.
This we do know: McLean has become a destination for discriminating homebuyers wanting both a great home and a good life. Come see why.
Tour our New Home Development in the Charlotte area!
Feel free to stop, get out and explore. (For safety, please do not enter construction sites, and please have adults with children at all times).
1 – Begin at the Information Center
We recommend starting at the Information Center at 175 Armstrong Road, open 11 am-5 pm Tuesdays-Saturdays and 1-5 pm Sundays-Mondays. Learn what’s new, pick up complementary bottles of water, and check out the community map. We love visitors!
2 – Explore award-winning Peachtree model
Turn right out of the Information Center and enter South Shore at Seven Oaks Landing.
Ahead you’ll see Peachtree Residential’s award-winning model home, named 2016 Charlotte Parade of Homes Best of Show for homes in the $650k-$750k range, plus other Peachtree homes.
Be sure to stop and tour the model, open 11 am-5 pm Mon-Sat and 1-5 Sun-Mon.

The club will be finished this summer and will offer a wide range of amenities including a large pool.

Miles of nature trails will crisscross McLean. One of our favorites offers a short walk to Lake Wylie and a quiet pond.

Coming soon – more custom homes!
As you drive through South Shore, you’ll see signs marking waterfront lots reserved for our custom builders, including J. Barwick, Fairwood and Andrew Roby. A few select South Shore waterfront homes are available for under $1 million on spacious lots with optional docks. Learn more
6 – Rutenberg and Wieland homes
Arthur Rutenberg is building this waterfront custom home with a beautiful elevated view of the lake, across Cape August Place from two spacious estate homes by John Wieland Homes.
Wieland also has waterfront sites available nearby.
7 – John Wieland model home
Continue along Cape August Place to Shimmerlake Lane, then turn left. You’ll soon come to John Weiland Homes’ model under construction on the left, beside one of South Shore’s many walking paths.

The Conservancy is rapidly taking shape. Proceed to Armstrong Road, then turn left.
Turn left again at S. New Hope Road, where McLean is funding construction of the new traffic circle.
