First Homes, Amenities Under Construction at South Shore
Despite the cold weather, snow and ice, things are heating up in McLean’s signature neighborhood, South Shore, with waterfront home construction on Lake Wylie beginning and amenities taking shape.
Builders Doug McSpadden and Arthur Rutenberg are clearing lots in preparation for construction to begin on their first pre-sold custom homes on the lake. Peachtree and John Wieland are also close to beginning work on their own estate home sites. Within a few weeks, both builders will begin building model homes and their first group of inventory homes.
Meanwhile, the first of the community’s new trails along Armstrong Road are already completed, hinting at what is to come. McLean will offer a network of trails, with asphalt and natural surfaces, that will tie into the Carolina Thread Trail at Seven Oaks Preserve trailhead on New Hope Road. The Thread Trail will give residents direct access to nearby Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens.
This spring will see start of efforts on a large community garden to be developed behind the McLean House as well as the South Shore clubhouse and pool across Armstrong Road and just beyond the row of cherry trees. These are just a few of the items that will make living at McLean a daily opportunity to nurture, explore and rejuvenate.
The waterfront custom sales team, Peachtree and Wieland representatives are on call to answer your questions and provide construction updates and details about new homes in South Shore. Stop by our information center during regular hours or contact them here for an appointment or to get the scoop.
