Heron near McLean Point

• Trail to McLean Point
This path between the future South Shore Residents Club and McLean Point will quickly become a favorite.
Find it – Enter South Shore on Seven Oaks Landing. Park on the road near gravel driveway you’ll spot on the right, just past the new homes being built by Peachtree Residential.
High points – Take the trail down the gravel driveway and around the right side of the utility building.
Enjoy autumn colors reflecting on the pond as you proceed to The Point and splendid Lake Wylie vistas.

• Seven Oaks Preserve
The preserve’s 2.8-mile lakeside trail is a jewel.
Find it – Parking and trailhead are on S. New Hope Road near The Conservancy.
High Points – Deer, turkey, owls and lake views. Details

Trail between pond and lake• Pondside Trail
A short stroll to a lovely pond and a Lake Wylie cove.
Find it – Proceed to the end of Seven Oaks Landing, turn right onto South Shore Drive and park on cul-de-sac. Trail sign is to the left.
High points – Vistas of pond and Lake Wylie. The pond’s shoreline has been preserved for community use.
